Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated October 27, 2026
This policy applies to everyone who uses YayClip, alongside the Terms of Service. YayClip makes a video or image from a photo you upload, following a template; the rules below cover what you may upload and what you may do with the result.
Your photos
Upload only photos of yourself, your own pets, or people who agreed to it. Don't upload photos of celebrities or other public figures, or any photo you don't have the right to use.
Prohibited content
Don't upload, make or share any of the following.
- Sexual content and nudity. Pornography, sexually explicit material and nude imagery, whatever its framing.
- Violence and gore. Graphic violence, gore or mutilation, and material that glorifies or incites violence, including terrorist and violent extremist propaganda.
- Hate. Material that attacks, demeans or incites hatred against people for their race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, caste, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability or serious illness.
- Child safety. Child sexual abuse material, and anything that sexualises, exploits or endangers a minor.
- Intimate imagery without consent. Sexual or intimate imagery of anyone who has not agreed to it.
- Deepfakes and impersonation. Images or videos that make a real person appear to say or do something they didn't, fake endorsements or statements by public figures, and results used to pose as someone else. This includes any result made from another person's photo without their consent.
- Infringement. Photos you don't own or have the right to use, and uses that infringe someone's copyright, trademark, privacy or publicity rights.
Three of these are zero tolerance: child sexual abuse material, intimate imagery without consent, and terrorist propaganda. One instance closes the account for good, and child sexual abuse material is reported to the US National Center for Missing & Exploited Children and to law enforcement.
Prohibited uses
Don't use YayClip or its results to defraud, harass, threaten or defame anyone; to pass a result off as real evidence, documents or news; to get around credit limits, abuse refunds or resell access; or to interfere with the service or the people using it.
How we keep content safe
There is no free-form prompt: every result follows a template our team made. You add your photos and, on some templates, one line saying who plays which part, which can't change what the template makes. The AI models that make results run their own safety filters; when one refuses, nothing is made and your credits come back. Results stay private to the account that made them, and every report of misuse is reviewed by a person.
Reporting misuse
Results are private to the account that made them, so misuse usually comes to light outside the site. If you see a YayClip result that breaks these rules, or one made from your photo without your permission, write to support@yayclip.com with a link or a copy. We review every report and reply within five business days.
What happens when the rules are broken
We may check uploads and results, automatically or by hand. Depending on how serious it is, we may refuse a photo, delete the results concerned, warn you, suspend your account or close it. A closed account loses its remaining credits without a refund, as the Terms of Service describe.
